On the afternoon of June 1, 2026, Mr. Mey Samith, Executive Director of PPCIL (Phnom Penh Center for Independent Living), led his team to participate in the International Children’s Day celebration under the theme “Together for Every Child”, along with the Official Announcement of the UNICEF Cambodia Goodwill Ambassador.The event was presided over by Her Excellency Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, Permanent Vice President of the Cambodian Red Cross.

On that occasion, Her Excellency Dr. Pich Chanmony called on everyone to work together to prevent violence against children, child sexual abuse, child labor, and digital safety risks. She also emphasized the importance of ensuring that every child receives care, love, safety, hope, education, and equal opportunities. The event was organized by UNICEF at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.
