On the morning of June 15, 2026, Mr. Mey Samith, Executive Director of the PPCIL, led the organization’s team to participate in a consultation meeting with OC Global and Green Assessment Co., Ltd. regarding the project to rehabilitate National Road No. 1 and construct a bridge across the Mekong River.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the consulting companies, Mr. Morimoto, representative of JICA Cambodia, PPCIL, and persons with disabilities from suburban and urban communities, as well as communities located along National Road No. 1. The consultation was held at BROWN Roastery Park.

Objective:

To gather feedback, perspectives, and recommendations from persons with disabilities to inform the design of the National Road No. 1 rehabilitation project, the construction of the Mekong River bridge, and the development of an accessible public bus system. The project aims to ensure that these transport facilities are inclusive and usable by everyone, leaving no one behind, including persons with disabilities.
