Training workshop on disability, disability inclusion, independent living, gender equality, and universal design accessibility

On Friday, March 20, 2026, PPCIL organized a training workshop on disability, disability inclusion, independent living, gender equality, and universal design accessibility. The workshop was held for district and commune authorities, as well as relevant stakeholders targeted by the ISCP project, at Ban Ban Hotel, with a total of 20 participants.

During the opening of the training workshop, Mr. Mey Samith, Executive Director of PPCIL, delivered remarks emphasizing the importance of strengthening the capacity of local authorities and relevant stakeholders on disability issues. He also encouraged the integration of disability concerns into commune development plans and investment programs. In addition, he highlighted the provision of personal assistant services for persons with severe disabilities, referrals to healthcare services, rehabilitation services, and vocational training. Financial support was also mentioned for constructing ramps, improving sanitation facilities, and modifying entrances and exits to ensure accessibility and convenience for persons with disabilities.
