On the morning of February 24, 2026, PPCIL organized a training session for an intern for Mr. Arai Daichi, Program Coordinator from AAR Japan in Cambodia, to gain a deeper understanding of the rights and living conditions of persons with disabilities in Cambodia.
Key activities included:
– Learning about the general situation of persons with disabilities, inclusion, types of disabilities, and the importance of independent living, as well as relevant supporting policy documents.
– Conducting a home visit to a person with severe disabilities who is living independently in the community, in order to better understand real-life conditions and specific needs.
– Studying respectful and appropriate language usage, wheelchair handling techniques, and practical support methods to facilitate mobility.
