On December 22, 2025, Mr. Mey Samith, Executive Director of the Phnom Penh Center for Independent Living (PPCIL), participated in the “Consultation Workshop on the Disability Inclusion Portfolio”, presided over by His Excellency Ung Sambath, Secretary-General and Permanent Member of the Disability Action Council, held at Phnom Pros Hotel, Kampong Cham Province.

The workshop was organized by the Secretariat of the Disability Action Council in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Participants included leaders and officials from the Secretariat of the Disability Action Council, the Provincial Department of Social Affairs of Kampong Cham, UNDP, organizations representing persons with disabilities, the Forum of Women and Children with Disabilities, and other non-governmental organizations.

In total, there were approximately 69 participants, including 23 women, of whom 27 were persons with disabilities, including 14 women with disabilities.

Objectives of the Workshop:

1. To present the results of the Joint Programme on Accelerating the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Cambodia (2022–2025)

2. To present findings on priority actions for disability inclusion for 2026–2028

3. To gather inputs and recommendations on the strategic priority actions for disability inclusion for 2026–2028

4. To develop the priority annual action plan for 2026 of the Secretariat of the Disability Action Council
