On the afternoon of Sunday, January 18, 2026, Mr. Mey Samith, Executive Director, together with the staff of PPCIL, warmly welcomed Ms. Akane, a student from Japan who is currently undertaking an internship at the Japan Heart Hospital. The visit aimed to learn about the activities of PPCIL and the overall situation of persons with disabilities in Cambodia, as well as to gain insights into the independent living conditions of persons with severe disabilities in the community who are using the Personal Assistance Service provided by PPCIL.

During the discussion, Ms. Akane also shared information about the medical treatment and healthcare services provided by the Japan Heart Hospital. The Japan Heart Hospital operates two branches, located near Phnom Preah Reach Troap and Ta Khmao Market in Kandal Province, and provides free medical treatment and healthcare services to the public.
