A Knock That Opened New Friendships

A Knock That Opened New Friendships

On Thursday, 19 February 2026, Mr. Mey Samith, Executive Director of the Phnom Penh Center for PPCIL, warmly welcomed Professor Atsuko Imoto and Ms. Ono Akiko from Nagasaki University, Japan.

It should be noted that the two visitors did not make an appointment in advance; instead, they came directly and knocked on the Director’s office door. This was because they had searched for information online and through the PPCIL website to learn about the organization’s activities and to gain a better understanding of the overall situation of persons with disabilities in Cambodia. They also sought potential partners for research collaboration and for organizing future academic study visits for students from Nagasaki University.

All of us, the staff, would like to express our sincere gratitude to the professors for taking their valuable time to visit our office. We look forward to cooperating with them in the future.
